| God, did you know this all the time? |
I learned back in high school that the speed of light is 186 thousand miles per second.
Well, a recent news story reminded that actually it's 186,282 miles per second. What a blow! To think that
the speed of light is actually faster than I was thinking. And what Einstein figured. And now
comes the real blow...some scientists have claimed that they clocked a neutrino (whatever that is) at ten nano-seconds faster
(whatever that is). At any rate, before they lay solid claim to this larger-than-politics discovery, they've asked
other scientists to check it out to make sure they're right. But one Indiana University physicist said (if it's
true, that is) that it is "a revolutionary discovery, if confirmed. Well, doesn't that just
knock your socks off. Ten nano-seconds faster. But it's still too fast for you to turn off the light and get
into bed before it gets dark. What this world needs is some slower figures. No...to get serious...what
this world needs is to remember that Jesus Christ is coming back at a time that only His Father, Jehovah God, knows, and it
will happen so fast that only those who have expected and prepared for His Second Coming to be caught up with Him to Heaven.
The Bible describes it as "in a twinkling of an eye," (I Corinthians 15:51-52) "Behold, I show you a mystery;
we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump; for the trumpet
shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed." Never fear...Christ knows all
about nano-seconds, and it just won't be important when He comes back for believers. Be ready.
