God was so modest when He made Man. Genesis 1:26 and 27...just two verses...describe the most miraculous of all miracles. And God said, "let us (He and Jesus) make man in our image, after our likeness." And the next verse says, "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them."

And with that, They made a likeness with hundreds of complicated miracles, wrapped up on one body. Look at pictures in medical books; heart, lungs, kidneys, blood veins, ears, eyes, tongue...countless parts and the almost ultimate...the brain. And the only reason I call this article "one step" from the ultimate, is because when this life is over, the soul takes one more step and leaves this mode of motivation we call a "body," and takes on its eternal life!

And as we humans might say, this is where God separates the "men" from the "boys." With all humanity, including children who don't yet know the consequences of sin, entering into the Heaven God has made for us, while those who haven't accepted Christ, entering into the everlasting hell where they'll be with the evil one who has plagued us during this short life on earth, trying to get all of us he can, to suffer with him.

Sounds mean for some folks, until you know the rest of the story. Those who realize that Jesus is the Christ, and decide to live for Him as His Word, the Bible, directs, will never know that suffering. Those who give their lives to him for these brief years, will be forever in Heaven, where there will never be frustration, pain or death...all ours simply by making a decision either to accept what Christ is offering us, or to go spend the rest of eternity with satan, who also will be suffering the fires of hell.

If you've decided to go with God, have just a little patience and all will well. If not, I plead with you to think of the consequence. You can accept the fun sins now, with their heartaches later, or waiting a short while for the promise of Heaven. Don't be child-like, wanting the lollipop now, instead of the gingerbread house later!
