God loves all colors

Probably every person who reads the King James Bible, thinks of Jesus Christ as the same color as the one reading it. That’s normal, I would think, although I’ve never asked that of a person of another color. It just doesn’t seem that important.

Here’s my thinking (this is not from the Bible)…I think we will all be color blind when we get to Heaven. And it would be well if we were in that condition here on earth, because too many people still put importance on skin color. The olive color of those of India…the yellow tone of the Orientals…the dark complexion of the Jewish people, of which Jesus was one while here on earth…the reddish shade of the American Indian, and the “white” of many people, although that nationality can be tan, white, or a reddish tint such as I have. There are all shades of every nationality, it seems.

And people who put importance on this should not. For example, the Apostle Peter had a vision three times that’s a perfect example that we should not be prejudiced (Acts chapter 10). And in Acts 17:26, it says, “(God) hath made of one blood all nations of men.”

And the parable Jesus gave in the 14th chapter of Luke, about choosing to sit in the lower chamber, rather than in the better place until called upon, is clearly having to do with prejudice.

It boils down to this: Don’t take it upon yourself to be “better” than someone else. At best, just treat others as equals, which we all are, in the sight of God. And I have a “Thorntonism:” We are not all born equal, but we are all   RE-born equal.

Wealth, color, or social position isn’t God’s yardstick. Get right with God.

Thorntonism:  God gave us all colors.  And one thing He can't do...He can't choose a favorite
