Were you tuned when I told about evangelist Ken Gaub’s phone call?
To update you, he and his family were driving their motor home out west, and the kids asked him to stop at
the next place where they could get a soda. He did, but decided to stay in the bus while they went to order. But then he decided
to stretch his legs, and ambled down the street, past a phone booth (it was back then) where the phone was persistently ringing.
Finally, he decided to tell the operator that this wasn’t a house or business address.
But the operator said, “Is this Ken Gaub? Of course, Reverend Gaub was flabbergasted and tried to tell
the operator that IS THIS KEN GAUB? the operator persisted, and Ken kept trying to tell her that he didn’t even know
where he was, and that the call couldn’t be for him. But at that time, a woman’s voice broke in “Yes, operator,
that Brother Gaub,” and started talking to him, saying she was about to commit suicide, but his office phone number
came to her and she decided to call.
Ken was astounded, telling her he doesn’t have an office, and had no idea even where he was at this
moment. But it wound up with the lady giving her heart to Christ. Unbelievable, except that it was true.
And now another miracle. I happened across evangelist Jesse Duplantis on TV, and this man doesn’t hide
the fact that before being saved, he was as low-down as you can get. He was a drummer for a rock band, and did drugs, drinking
and everything else you can imagine, with his mother back home, praying for him constantly. He even had a stage name…”Jason”
something.
One night he and a buddy were at a house of prostitution when someone said, “anyone here named “Jesse
Duplantis?” Now it was his turn to be astounded, because who could know that name and where he was.
Well, it was his Mom, telling him to get out of there, and it ended up with his finally coming to Christ,
then getting the call to preach, and here he is, clean of all dirt and meanness, preaching The Word! Only God and Christ could
perform such a miracle.
