What is this! Political promises that are being broken daily…a leader who has told the world on TV that “we are not a Christian nation.”

(he also says we are not an Islam nation, etc) but his oratory hits at the heart of America. And since God is in charge of everything, from individuals to

Nations and their leaders, what is this that is happening to us. Can any good come from all this?

Maybe so. I’m old enough to remember the real depression, and I remember how people as a nation were closer to God. If there was no church near, they’d have “prayer meetings” in the homes of believers. Of course there were thieves and murderers too, they’ll always be around, but our leaders recognized God, and He was in every part of our lives, from creeks to courthouses; one for baptizing and the other to protect God’s name.

And so with all the confusion that’s going on now, I see writers in the newspapers talking about visiting at a friend’s house, rather than joining in every “happy hour” that comes along. And I noticed a story saying “game night is back” on TV, because more people are now staying at home, and there’s such a thing as “family bonding” again. And so both parents and kids are finding some shows that won’t embarrass either age. And let’s face it…game shows ask questions, and people get an education as they compete for the answers at home, as they hear the TV contestants sweat for a win.

Meanwhile, it may be that the end of this world may be a step nearer.

If you’ve read your Bible, you know that when the anti-christ comes, people will flock to him in adoration, seeing no wrong in him, and in the end, worshipping him before both he and his adorers are cast into a burning hell.

Think about it.
