Don’t believe everything you read, nor everything you hear on TV.

In fact, with the tricks that can be done on TV, don’t even believe everything you SEE, anymore. Even those movies that are filled with explosions and car crashes can be contrived.

The “don’t believe it” thing came to me again recently as I heard a person on TV say that our Statue of Liberty was a gift from Poland in 1776. As soon as I heard it, I said, “Wait a minute. Have I been

mis-informed all these years?” And so I looked it up, and sure enough, the Statue was given to us by France in 1886 in commemoration of the signing of the U.S. Declaration of Independence, and as a gesture of friendship between the two countries. France had plenty to be thankful for when we liberated them from Hitler during World War Two, but they seem to have forgotten about that in past years. But that’s another story.

Folks, be wary of what you’re told, even by those on TV posing as Christians, and those beautiful nature stories that lay our entire universe to a thing dreamed up by a man named Charles Darwin in 1859 while he was on Galapagos Island. He called it “evolution” and wrote a book about it called “On the Origin of Species.” And the world latched onto it like a dog on a bone…possibly because it threw out the Christian belief in Creation. Don’t be misled. Many ministers don’t believe the Bible they preach from. Go figure. Incidentally, I wrote a book about that.

If you’re going to believe the Bible, believe all of it, because

half-safe won’t be enough when you stand at the Judgment talked about in the Book of Revelation in the Bible.
