I’m told there are about 365 “fear nots” in the Bible. That immediately brings to
mind that our Lord will be with us every day of this new year, taking care of us in His great way.
Oh yes…there are times when we wonder at His Way, for
it seems that it’s taking too long, or is too round-about. But He says in verse 32 in Luke’s gospel…”Fear
not, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.”
And we further should bear in mind that we’re not working
for treasure here…our reward will come in Heaven. Jesus sees the sparrow fall; nevertheless, sparrows MUST fall, for
there is such a time for each of us. And so let each of us work and live our Christian lives, not to make things better for
us HERE, but for us to make things better for OTHERS here, with our own reward coming at a time when we won’t have to
dread an ending…it will be for eternity.
When things get tough, “consider the lilies how they grow…if
God so clothe the grass, which is today in the field and tomorrow is cast into the oven; how much more will He clothe you!”
Give your life to Him each morning. The new year will go better
for you.
