The things that go through my mind from time to time! You know that God made our bodies so that the food we
eat turns to heat and energy to keep us going, and the unusable parts of the food moves on and out of our bodies. Mind you,
this is more of my personal thoughts; not that I’ve read it in the Bible. But I imagine that God made us this way…that
we go to the rest room, to keep us humble. Think about it…even the Queen’s body is made just like ours. Wouldn’t
she be proud if she didn’t have to be relieved, just as we do! She would indeed know that she had been chosen by God
Himself to rule over her people. It just wouldn’t do.
Going another route…one of my hobbies is doing crossword puzzles. And
anytime I get to thinking that I’m pretty good at it, all I have to do is try one of the New York Times
puzzles, and it puts me in my place. God has His ways.
Our consolation is that in Heaven, all will be changed. We’ll have new bodies, and I firmly believe
that the chores of this life in caring for ourselves will no longer be necessary. God will take care of us, and the mundane
things won’t even be thought of.
However, remember that we will know each other as we have here on earth. Do your recall in the Bible when
Jesus took Peter, James and John with him and He met with Moses and Elijah…they knew who these me were (Matt 17:1-13).
What a nice fact, our knowing that we will meet our loved ones again with eternal time to sit and visit, with no goodbyes.
No point in asking, “How are you,” because there’ll be no sickness nor pain of any kind. No murders to deal
with like the teen-age girls who at this writing have been senselessly been killed by mean persons, leaving parents and friends
wondering how someone could be so heartless. All that will not even come to our minds. That thought alone is enough for a
person to want to serve Christ, so he or she can reap such a wondrous reward when we pass from this life.
And so I remind you that Jesus Himself said that now is the time to give your heart to Him, because we have
no guarantee of our next breath. Think about it, and talk to Him at this moment.
