At this writing, my wife, Louise, is recuperating from surgery that was done in a Kansas City hospital. The surgeon did
a totally professional
job, waiting while she was treated for related problems so she would be able to come through the main operation without
unnecessary risk.
Also, both before and after the surgery, she was treated with great care. There were no complaints from either of us. Everything
went well during the almost two weeks she was hospitalized.
But they made one mistake. They sent her home too soon. By the time she made the one-hour trip from there to our house,
and helped up two steps into the house, and settled in a chair, we saw that she was in trouble. We immediately called an ambulance
from the local hospital and she was in emergency in a short time, and from there to a bed where she was cared for nicely until
she was truly ready to be taken home.
And so you see how all can be well over a period of time, but one mistake can overturn all?
And that’s how Christ looks at our lives. We can be nice and kind and helpful and all the Christian-like things,
but one sin, without asking forgiveness, can keep a person out of Heaven. But the key is that Christ will forgive. Give your
heart to Him, then let Him guide you down the right path. The person who is truly trying to live a Christian life, will find
Him ready to clear your slate and help you through each day of our life.
Think about it.
