I remember November 7, 2002, when people from all over the world complimented Reverend Billy Graham on his
83rd birthday.
Of course they prepared the program ahead of time, so they could reach so many people in so many countries,
and I suppose everything was said, that COULD be said about what a wonderful world it has been, to have Brother Graham with
us for this long.
And every word they said was true. As humble as Billy was, it only accented his presence. The program went
on for at least two hours, and maybe more, because I admire him as much as the next person, so time didn’t matter.
But it made me think…about YOUR Dad. Is he a nice guy, or do you see the police around your house from
time to time. He your Dad ever gone to church? Let me tell you something. No matter how he has lived, God loves your Dad exactly
the same amount as He does Billy Graham. Yes, God loves you that much too, but we’re talking about your Dad right now.
Billy Graham has done lots of good, but even if your Dad gives his heart to Jesus today and dies tomorrow, his mansion in
Heaven will be just as big as Billy Graham’s. All God wants is for a person to commit his life to Christ, and all that
past stuff is forgotten. Not put in the back of the file…IT’S FORGOTTEN. So starting today, your Dad and Billy
Graham can start even.
Isn’t that nice of the Lord. That’s shown in the story of the farmer who hired some men early
in the morning to work the day for a certain amount. Then several times during the day he want back and hired more men. But
when he paid them off, each got the same amount. Read about it in Matthew 20.
Mention this to your Dad, if he’d like to become a SUCCESSFUL man.
